VANESSA DIESELS STORY: I found this little girl around 7-9-08, she was under the front tire of a truck that was about to drive away from a curb. I jumped out screaming to the driver in my usual obnoxious fashion and scooped her up - narrowly escaping the wheels of a semi headed straight for us. I quickly discovered she was covered in gasoline! After a few baths and good meals she seems to be doing better. She was always a bit mellow for a puppy, and might have been harboring a virus. Little did I know. FOR FREQUENT UPDATES SEE OUR BLOG!
Or please donate to the bill of a past rescue! Thanks!

Penny The Pinned Pit Puppy THE STORY
Penny
received donations nationwide to help heal her injuries. She is MORE
than ready for a forever home. This high energy 10 month old puppy needs
training and some rehab, a nice jog would be good to build up her muscles
around her freshly healed legs. You can see the scars from the surgeries. Penny has been fostered by me, living with my two dogs and one cat, with numerous rescued animals both cats and dogs coming through. She has adapted very well. She would not be good around babies or small children as she is a bit rough and tumble. Please contact Judy about adoption. 310 492 5569 -- 310 728 5611 -- jutzs@aol.com almost 35 pounds (and she does have a tail). Below are pictures of PENNY immediately after surgery. WARNING please be advised the pictures are graphic Please call for appointment to meet Penny. |

You can see the left leg here with the pins. Also notice at the top of her right leg are stitches for the internal pin for the right shoulder. Notice the back legs. One leg has the pain med patch, which is morphine.the other leg was where the IV site was. They wheeled her in on a cart. She had a muzzle on because during the transfer to the cart and cleaning she has been nipping, due to pain. But we took the muzzle off and she just licked my face and fingers. All the vet techs and staff love Penny. They all say she is so sweet and gentle. She remained at the vet to limits her movement while she healed. Penny the day she was found and taken to the vet. These are the Before Pictures.
CURRENT photos taken this month and last month! ........ . .... . The Vicious Pit Bull Penny. Waiting for a belly rub. Actually she was sleeping like that while my dog Schlimie looked on. --- Penny LOVES it when we rescue puppies. She loves to play, as they both have the same energy level. Play a LOT and sleep a LOT! Her two favorite things!
Schlimie and Penny are very close. So close they sleep all over each other! I turned around from working on the computer to find them SLEEPING like this. Normally it is more like this. Schlimie and Penny "Two on a Chair" Homer, Schlimie, and Penny "Squish on a Chair"
